Aussie Style Granny Flat
This Aussie style granny flat was the first ever Funky Little Shack.
Ellen moved from South Africa to be with her son and his family in Helensvale on the Gold Coast.
We designed this 66m2 granny flat to complement the style of their existing home. It has a matching colour scheme that harmoniously connects the two homes.
Ellen chose a two bedroom design so she could have visitors stay, with a huge walk in robe to the master bedroom.
We oriented the home to ensure there is privacy between the two dwellings. Sitting to one side of the block, it faces their gorgeous garden of native gum trees and gentle sloping lawn.
The Treehouse boasts a nine metre long balcony running the full length of the home looking out to this tranquil view.
With feature timber screening as well as a double carport, which Ellen will share with her grandson.
Ellen is now sharing many memories on this balcony with her family. We are proud as punch to provide a home for three generations.
